Day 3: Right There Waiting…

Turn and seek Him.  Cry out with open heart and mind.  He’s right there!

“My son, if thou criest after knowledge, and liftest up they voice for understanding; if thou seekest for her as for hid treasures; then shalt thou understand the fear of the Lord, and find the knowledge of God.”  Proverbs 2:3-5

M46 Project Challenge:  Remind your children that as they continue to seek God with their whole heart, God will continue to reveal Himself, and His will to them.

As parents, do we embolden our children with the confidence to cry out to Him with confidence and to seek His comfort and protection – alone or in the company of others, wherever they may be?

Relationships take work.  Our children need to understand that pursuing and enjoying a personal relationship with Him requires the investment of time, emotion, vulnerability, discipline, and study.  He’s eager and waiting for us, if we just seek Him.

Prayer:  Heavenly Father, I pray that Mabry continues to have a desire to have an intimate relationship with you.  And I pray that she will be bold in her pursuit of you, always.  Thank you for making Yourself known to my daughter and my family.  In Jesus name, Amen.

Thoughts:  Perhaps our best teaching technique is by our own example.  What do our children see us doing in our “spare” time?  Have we taken it upon ourselves to help them understand how to pray and talk to God?   Have we demonstrated our own pursuit of Him by investment of our own time in prayer, reflection, and study of scripture?

Tomorrow will bring us to Proverbs 4:5-6.  Be well, be blessed!

Keep it Lit,

T.
